Frequently Asked Questions

Here’s a list of questions we usually hear from gremmies around the globe. Please read this first if you have a question. If you still have questions afterwards, write us at [email protected]. Thanks.

Q: How do you download the zip files in gremmie’s basement?

A: First and foremost there is a download button attached to each zip file, which – when pressed – will automatically attempt to download the file. Alternatively, gremmies can right-click the link with their mouse and choose the “Save-As” option. This will have the same effect as above: the zip file will attempt to download to the users computer.

Q: Why aren’t there more shows available in gremmie’s basement?

A: gremmie’s basement is a work in progress. Since uploading material takes 5 times longer than downloading, goof and gremmie have decided to open up the basement during its incipient stages instead of waiting until the entire catalogue has been uploaded . In brief, there’s more coming, check back each week for updates.

Q: I see the menus include every year since 1990, but I don’t see links to download.

A: This is because we haven’t gotten to adding shows to that year yet. The plan is to have nearly all Pearl Jam shows available for download. You don’t see a link because we haven’t gotten to uploading shows to that year yet.

Q: Why don’t you host FLAC files?

A: See here for the answer to that question.

Q: Why don’t you list shows individually?

A: The best and most space-efficient way to list shows is in buckets. For example, in the 2008 menu we list “[6/27 – 6/30] New England” which includes 3 shows: Hartford, Boston I, and Boston II. Or in the 2009 menu we list “[10/27 – 10/30] the Spectrum” which includes all 4 shows at the Spectrum during the 2009 tour. The system is pretty intuitive and we think gremmies will catch on quickly.

Q: Why should I Become a Fan on Facebook? Are you going to stalk me?

A: To answer the last question first, no. You should Become a Fan on Facebook because it’s a clear, consistent channel for goof & gremmie to distribute new information about gremmie.net. We broadcast only the most important updates and will not bombard your news feed with every minuscule detail. Plus, it makes us happy to see our work is not going unappreciated.

Q: Why do you have two websites?

A: gremmie.net – in its entirety – is one site. goof and gremmie like to think of gremmie’s basement as the basement to the museum that is gremmie.net. there’s treasures down there sure; they may not be as pristine as those upstairs, and you may have to dig to find them – but brother when you do, it’ll be worth it.

Q: Is there anything worse than a gremmie outta control?

A: No.

    1. which show are you referring to? all of our files on the basement should be ZIP files. please let us know so we can fix it! thanks!

  1. any chance you have a listing of all the “soundboard” recordings through the years that are being hosted? I realize that not all are direct “soundboard” as some were radio broadcasts or other high-quality transmission, but maybe some kind of list of distinction to the professionally mixed/mastered recordings? (shows like Chicago ’95, Atlanta ’94, Berlin ’96, etc come to mind)

Not trying to put down the amazing audience recordings out there, but I’ve been asked several times over the years from people just discovering the recording history of PJ which shows to find/trade/download and having a resource to go to might be helpful. Once I finish downloading and listening to all the hosted shows I’m missing, I’d be happy to help populate the list.

  2. I would love to become a fan on Facebook, but I don’t see you in the search. Am I doing something wrong?

I stumbled upon your web site today and thought I’d died and gone to Heaven!!! THANK YOU for all your hard work compiling this amazing collection.

    1. Ok – I clicked the Facebook link at the top of the page here and it took me straight to you guys. Disregard the first part of my previous comment. Thanks.

  3. I don’t know where to leave a comment for a request, but if you kind Sir’s/Administrators, be able to upload the Silver Bootlegs of “One Way Needle” or “Dedicated to the Motherf***ers”” (1993-11-05)? I’m not that bid of a fan of the SV version of this show. Thanks!

  4. Any chance of getting the Ben Harper (Relentless 7) and Eddie version of Under Pressure from Hard Rock Calling from London in 2010?

appreciate if someone can enlighten me. thanks a lot.

  6. New to your site, it is amazing! I’ve spent lots of time looking through everything. In one of your updates, you mention that 2003 is split into 4 different sections, however, I only see “Pacific” and “US Leg 1”. Am I missing something? I don’t see the “US Leg 2” or “Mexico”.

    1. Tim,

THANKS! We didn’t see that. We have the pages, but forgot to add them to the menu! It’s been fixed. Enjoy!
